Nyumbani-Dimes ft Kama,Jaffarai,Ambrose!
Well this blog is not all about me sometimes when i feel a track is good..well a track is good and i will share it with wagenge wamine. Pro habo works with Willie Owusu exclusively on our videos and this is one of his master pieces.
The Artist is called Dimes he is based in germany and actually produced the instrumental after his white friend played the guitar tune for him (Kali)! He was on holiday in Kenya (did i mention he is Willies Nephew). So he hooked up with Ambrose who i think is a multi talented mutherfucker and he came up with the Luhya chorus (Ambi ulini maurder na hii wahhhh) and offcourse to have Jaffarai na Kama on one track…Noma!
The track is a masterpiece.Everything about it is phenomenal.I love the way it starts with the white guy playing the guitar in his leather coat(awesome,by the way),and ends with a scene shot at twilight,with the same guitar strumming in the background.Nyumbani should have been 2010′s track of the year.The theme(homecoming)is something I can relate to,as I live in Cambridge UK,and miss home like hell.Thank you folks for the song.And by the way,Ambrose is a musical natural,don’t you all think?
